The Bleeding Statue

A magician disappoints his heirs by leaving his properties with his daughter and also promises to safeguard her against all harm through a statue in his estate courtyard. On her arrival in the estate, she finds his promise true to his word.

Brought together to settle the estate of the late Prior Abbott, who amassed a fortune as a magician, his survivors try to outwit each other in their attempts to acquire the bulk of the wealth. At the same time they keep a wary eye on the 1,444-pound bronze statue used by Abbott when he was on stage. Its legendary powers could bring death to any one of them.

A magician upsets his family by giving all his property to his daughter and vows to protect her from danger using a statue in his estate's courtyard. When she arrives at the estate, she discovers he kept his promise.
