The Boy Wonder
On a quest to find a missing child named Buchanan, his team slowly disappears one after another. It's no coincidence that the boy and his friends possess amazing talents, and only too late does the man learn the futility of his search.
A man searches for a lost boy called Buchanan, but his team members start vanishing one by one. The child and his friends have special powers, and the man discovers too late that his mission was hopeless from the start.
Ten-year-old Stuart Buchanan has written a school composition explaining how his friends invented a disintegration beam, a matter-transmitter and a method of teleportation. Adults, including his school principal and a lawyer, see a fortune for themselves if they can learn more about the inventions from Stuart, who has quit school and left no traces. But whenever one of them seems about to find Stuart, he or she simply vanishes.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
