The Briefcase Blunder

Harry Owens discovers a briefcase containing $50,000 in cash on the back seat of his cab and takes it home. He sees a trip to Paris for him and his wife, Molly, and a new cab for himself. But Molly insists he return it to its owner, a man Harry remembers picking up at a downtown squash club. The man, named Sloane, stops his game to see Harry, seems annoyed, and refuses to take the briefcase. Molly then insists that Harry take it to the police. Harry agrees and gives it to a lieutenant, who turns out to be Sloane’s squash partner.

When a briefcase full of money is left in Harry's cab, he finds out honesty will not always set you free. He finds himself in a whole lot of trouble after he turns it in to the police and the owner refuses to claim it.

After Harry discovers a briefcase packed with cash in his taxi, he learns that doing the right thing can backfire. When he hands the money over to the cops and the real owner won't take it back, Harry gets caught up in serious trouble.
