The Bullet

Two war soldiers who were buddies during Vietnam get together to talk about old times after nine years of separation. One of them is happily alive, while the other is dead.

When Jerry Price, a weary Vietnam veteran, sees his dead buddy Paul again, he learns that fate is about to be corrected, with Jerry's own death implied as soon as Paul can be seen by others. But is it Jerry's guilt that is driving him crazy, or simply the numbing memory of war?

Jerry Price, a tired soldier back from Vietnam, spots his dead friend Paul and discovers that destiny needs to be fixed - meaning Jerry will die once other people can see Paul too. But the question remains: is Jerry losing his mind because he feels guilty, or is it just the painful memories of war that are making him go crazy?

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
