A clairvoyant forsees an unexpected love in the life of a young, British aristocrat on the eve of World War II.
Madame Sonya, a well-respected clairvoyant in London in the 1930s and ’40s, recalls how her career abruptly ended one day when an American woman asked her to do a reading for her daughter, Laura. Madame Sonya foresaw a happy enough life for Laura, but then Laura arranged a reading for her British fiancé, Anthony. Madame Sonya became confused and afraid during Anthony and his father’s readings and could not tell anyone what horrifying events were in these Londoner’s futures.
A fortune teller predicts that a young English nobleman will find surprising romance just before World War II begins.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
