The Conversation Factor
Description
En route to resign from what he considers a dead-end project, research scientist Frederick Lanners leaves his attaché case in a diner. Frantically, he returns there, hoping the teenaged cashier, Darlene Jones, has found it. But before he can ask, she says she knows what he wants and hands him the case. Testing her further, Lanners finds that she has ESP and can be the key to his project’s success. But Darlene wants no part of it, not even for $50,000.
A math expert desperately searches for the final piece to complete his groundbreaking mathematical theory - a special conversion number. The secret he needs turns out to be with a woman who works as a waitress at a roadside diner.
A mathematics thriller. A thrilling solution beyond mathematics. Are we talking about metaphysics here? A physicist is in dire need for the last element in his search for a new paradigm of mathematics - a conversion factor. The answer is apparently hidden with a waitress in a truck stop restaurant
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
