The Death Disk

Selma Pruitt feels she is perfect for the job of executive director of the Martindale Foundation, and thought her interview with wealthy Elwood Townsend, the foundation’s trustee, was progressing smoothly until he suddenly turned her down. To her consternation, she discovers that he believes she stole a small gold disc during the interview. No one accepts her vehement claims of innocence, and soon she begins to doubt her own sanity.

A woman gets a job at a charity, but then they fire her and say she stole money. She didn't steal anything, so she asks the police to help prove she's innocent. When the cops won't help her, she decides to hunt down the truth herself.

After being hired by a charitable institution, a woman is surprised when the offer is not only suddenly withdrawn, but she is accused of theft as well. In order to clear her name of a crime she did not commit, she seeks the aid of the local police. When they wash their hands off the case, she takes matters into her own hands and conducts her own investigation.
