The Devil’s Boutique
After chancing upon a charming boutique in a quaint resort city in the Caribbean, an arrogant and self-absorbed couturier uses the designs she sees in the store and claims it as her own. Soon after, terrible misfortunes plague her and she learns first-hand what happens when you steal from the Devil himself.
A stuck-up fashion designer discovers a cute little shop while visiting a charming Caribbean resort town. She steals the clothing designs she finds there and passes them off as her own work. But when awful bad luck starts hitting her, she finds out the hard way that she ripped off the Devil himself.
Elvira Graham, one of the world's top fashion designers, visits in Derna, Libya, what is described to her by a cruise ship's captain as a most unusual clothing and accessories shop, known as The Devil's Boutique. Fascinated by the shop's wares, Elvira is caught sketching some of the designs. Instead of having her arrested, the boutique's owner gives her a set of earrings and a lipstick that she proudly wears, only to discover later that no matter what she does, neither will come off.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
