The Disembodied Voice

A woman doctor who treats mental patients starts receiving calls from a man who says he attacks women and commits murder. A police detective attempts to assist her.

A female psychiatrist begins to get phone calls from a man who claims to be a rapist and a killer. A police investigator tries to help.

Dr. Margaret Hunter, a hospital psychiatrist, reports obscene phone calls to police, who suspect they are from a murderer the newspapers call "the grim reaper." He had made similar calls to two nurses before killing them. Under police protection, she is still startled late one night by a man with a knife and a gun. Though terrified, she tries to use her psychiatric training to dissuade the intruder.
