The Doppelganger

Dr. Felix Brandt becomes enraged when his daughter, Fran, refuses to tell him who caused her pregnancy and then arranged for an abortion by an inexperienced medical student. A psychology professor whose avocation is parapsychology (the exploration of the mystic), Dr. Brandt vows to use his avocation to make the young man pay for what he has done to Fran. The punishment, he says, will be "an unspeakable crime, worse, far worse than murder."

A woman picks a criminal over the man she was going to marry, even after the criminal makes her end her pregnancy. The rejected man gets a perfect opportunity to get back at them.

A young lady chooses a gangster boyfriend over her fiance even though her beloved forces her to abort her child. Along comes a perfect chance at revenge for the rejected man.
