Gary Winter, a writer, meets and falls in love with actress Diane Summers, but their romance is constantly interrupted by the travel involved in their careers. While in Italy interviewing a jailed gambler, Gary finds that the gambler is also in love with Diane, who has assured him his eventual freedom. Thinking that there is more to their relationship than either Diane or the gambler will admit, Gary, irrational with jealousy, considers murder or suicide to be the only answer.

A well-known author becomes smitten with a charming actress who loves living dangerously. As she keeps putting her life and money on the line with risky bets, it triggers a deadly downward path that finally destroys their romance.

A famous writer falls in love with a seductive actress with a penchant for walking on the wild side. When she continues to risk her life and fortune in a high stakes gamble, it sparks a dangerous and downward spiral that ultimately leads to the death of their relationship.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
