The Eleventh Hour
After reading an interesting personal ad in the local paper, a businessman tries to connect with the advertiser. When they finally meet, the woman reveals she is a creature from another galaxy that can solve his problems for the sum of one million dollars.
Businessman J. Raymond Trask, filled with guilt because of the methods he employed in amassing his fortune, and now involved in a do-good project that will bankrupt his company, is so attracted by an ad that he cannot get its words out of his head. Ultimately he responds and meets its writer, a woman who calls herself Rah-el and who promises him an escape to peace and happiness if he can raise a million dollars.
A businessman spots a fascinating classified ad in his local newspaper and decides to reach out to whoever placed it. When he finally meets up with the woman behind the ad, she tells him she's actually an alien from outer space who can fix all his troubles - but it'll cost him a million bucks.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
