The Executioner
Description
An American couple land themselves in far greater danger when they seek shelter in a an ancient manor after a breakdown of their car. The mansion is inhabited by a mysterious lord and is also the residence of Queen Elizabeth's private executioner.
After their car breaks down, an American man and woman take refuge in an old mansion, only to discover they're now in serious trouble. The house belongs to a strange lord and serves as the home of Queen Elizabeth's secret executioner.
A couple seeking shelter in an old castle witnesses a mock beheading. The host accuses the husband of spying and orders his execution, forcing the wife to outwit him to save her husband's life.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
