The Fatal Connection

An archaeologist, Dr. Carlo Oresti, digs too deeply into the legends of an isolated village. His quest for an ancient secret leads him to a beautiful girl who turns into a black lamb and a serpentine monster. His local guide is shown to be the spirit of an ancient Arab who has been dead for centuries.

The Glenfords acquire an old New York brownstone previously owned by Hal's great-grandfather. One furnished room contains a working antique telephone from the 1890s. When Hal playfully calls for a hansom cab on it, one actually arrives. Norma decides to decorate the entire house in period style. However, when a call comes through from someone connected to Hal's ancestor, a life threatened by an angry—and long-dead—client ensues, creating supernatural danger for the couple.

A pregnant couple gets a house full of furniture from a relative who died. One piece is a telephone that lets them travel back in time to see how their family members lived long ago. They discover their ancestors were bad people.

Determined to find the secret of Magaera, an ancient goddess, archeologist Dr. Carlo Oresti is excavating in the Mideast when an earth tremor splits open the site. A shard of pottery and talisman are recovered, clues to Magaera's reputed power to instill people with the spirit of revenge. Dr. Oresti hopes to expose the legend but to do so he must take on a town full of suspicious people who firmly believe the goddess has the power to kill anyone who tries to find her out.

A young couple expecting a child also happen to inherit a furnished house. Among their acquired furniture is a phone that can send them back in time to relive the lives of their ancestors. They slowly realize that their ancestors were not very nice.
