The Ferret
Time and again the United States' plan to become independent of foreign energy sources falls short as their partner; Energy Exploration, Inc.'s resources are sabotaged. Amory Mills, EEI's hotshot lawyer sets up an elaborate scheme to entrap a corrupt EEI executive suspected of selling out the company. The clock is ticking as he zeroes in on Clem Ferris and finally comes close to unmasking "The Ferret."
The United States keeps failing to break free from foreign energy because someone is wrecking their partner company Energy Exploration, Inc. Amory Mills, a top lawyer at EEI, creates a clever trap to catch a crooked company boss who might be selling secrets. Time is running out as he hunts down Clem Ferris and gets close to exposing "The Ferret."
Energy Exploration's offshore oil rigs, tankers and gas fields are mysteriously destroyed, impeding US energy independence plans. Clem Ferris, an unscrupulous executive, is selling vital company information. EEI lawyer Amory Mills seeks to trap Ferris and Warren before they destroy evidence and uncover "The Ferret."
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
