The Ghost with a Knife
Based on supposedly true events, this tells the tale of a family terrorized by a ghost with a blade who destroys their garden and keeps changing their temperature settings. Paranormal investigators attempt to communicate with the spirit and figure out why he acts so oddly.
Leo and Rebecca Green, a young couple living in Mineola, New York, request that Bryce Bond, a well-known psychic scientist and investigator of the supernatural, help them rid their house of a six-foot-tall ghost who, they say, has a beard, wears olive green pants and carries a long knife in his hand. What happened one night while Bond and a friend, who was both a medium and a photographer, were inside the Greens’ house is dramatized during this broadcast.
Alleged to based on real-life incidents, this is the story of a family threatened by a knife-wielding spirit who kills their plants and repeatedly adjusts their thermostat. Ghost hunters try to talk to him and understand his strange behaviour.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
