The Last Lesson

In order to pay off his huge debts, a compulsive gambler shackles himself to a plain but extremely wealthy woman. Things don't go according to plan when she makes him work for his money and he must kiss his lazy and idle days goodbye.

A gambling addict who owes tons of money marries a rich but ordinary woman to solve his problems. His plan backfires when she forces him to get a job and earn his keep, ending his days of doing nothing.

Threatened with death unless he pays off his huge gambling bills, playboy Clarence Porter marries wealthy, sports-loving Penny Meadows. When she refuses to give him money, he determines to murder her, inherit her wealth and thus meet his financial obligations. He weakens the planks in the boat she uses to go shark fishing, loosens the front wheel in the car in which she races, and rewires their television set so that she will be electrocuted when she turns it on. But each time she escapes serious injury, and the gamblers are still insisting Porter will die unless he pays up.
