The Long Blue Line

Lieutenant Terence O’Neill, the latest in 100 years of O’Neill policemen, is assigned to the recently reopened case of a murdered Broadway actor, previously worked on by his father, Inspector O’Neill. As the younger O’Neill reconstructs the past, he begins to realize his father may have had more than a professional interest in the case.

A decade-old murder case comes back to life, and police pick an Irish-American detective whose family has served on the force for generations to solve it. But as he gets closer to the truth, he discovers his own retired cop father is mixed up in the crime.

When a 10 year old homicide is resurrected, a fourth generation Irish cop is chosen to lead the investigation. As he closes in on the answers, he is disturbed to learn that his retired father is involved in the case.
