The Night Shift
Wife Margie and best friend Jerry think Eddie O’Brien needs psychiatric care for the undue attention he pays to the new bus he drives #2792. He even leaves his wife every night at midnight to clean and repair it. When Jerry, who drives #2792 on the night shift, gets involved in a collision and causes excessive wear on the clutch, Eddie threatens to kill him if he’s not more careful with the vehicle.
Eddie O'Brian hates going to work driving a bus 9 hours a day until he gets a new bus, #2792. He becomes very protective of it and soon cares more for it than his wife Margie.
Bus driver Eddie O'Brian dreads his long workdays until he's assigned a new bus, #2792, which he grows so attached to that it becomes more important to him than his wife Margie.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
