The Quadruple
Vittoria Basso, determined to perfect a triple somersault in his circus trapeze act, gets some unexpected encouragement from fire-eater “The Amazing Diavolo” (real name Lou Cypher). Lou, who says he’s also a psychiatrist, maintains that Vittorio can accomplish the feat if he is willing to risk everything. Vittoria succeeds and now wants to learn the quadruple, only this time he doesn’t have complete support of the man he considers to be the devil.
A circus performer makes a deal with the devil to pull off the greatest trapeze trick ever attempted.
A trapeze artist trades his soul for the ability to perform the master stunt of all.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
