A widowed man chooses to wed his helper, but then learns his new wife cannot truly love anyone and has a weird, troubling bond with her pet dog.
A second marriage, an old pet dog and imaginary late-night conversations all contribute to the awakening of a stalwart yet unfeeling businessman.
After deciding to marry his assistant, a widower discovers that his wife is incapable of love and that she has a strange and unhealthy attachment to her dog.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
