The Third Person

Susan and Amy Frush are reunited when they become the sole beneficiaries to their aunt’s old, roomy New England mansion. After they move in, they are frightened by a persistent, mysterious visitor, the ghost of their dead cousin Cuthbert, whose smuggling exploits led to his hanging in 1775, bringing shame to the family name. With the help of the town minister, Susan and Amy piece together Cuthbert’s sad but exciting career and set out to redeem him—and themselves.

A pair of spinster cousins become the proud new owners of their ancestral manor. What they don't know is that the estate is haunted by the spirit of a deceased and nationalistic relative.

Two unmarried cousin women inherit their family's old house. They don't realize that the ghost of a dead patriotic family member still lives there.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
