Deborah Denton has fame, beauty and a governor for a husband and fully expects to be the First Lady some day. All that the Dentons lack is wealth, so handsome, rich Niklos Arinjoglou holds a special fascination for Deborah. When Louis Stark, the governor's political aide, threatens to reveal her affair and ruin her, Deborah panics and unwittingly kills her husband. Louis, who put her up to it, claims he will help her if she'll just give up her reflection to him. Although it sounds simple, she has a devilishly hard time without it.

In order to claim her soul, the Devil, masquerading as her husband's campaign manager tricks the reprehensible and adulterous wife of a prominent politician into killing her husband.

The Devil pretends to be a campaign manager and tricks a cheating politician's wife into murdering her husband so he can take her soul.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
