The Wintering Place

After the death of his wife Emily, Frank Bering acquires a nasty disposition, until he meets Robyn, a young woman who reminds him of Emily. Delighted at his find, Frank makes a pass at Robyn, but she resists him. Unable to accept her rejection, Frank forces himself on her, causing her to fatally strike her head. Later, when someone else is accused of the murder, Robyn reappears to insist that Frank confess, convincing him that she now embodies Emily’s spirit as well as her own.

An old man whose wife died attacks a woman scientist and then kills her. The dead woman's spirit comes back to haunt him, and she brings his dead wife's ghost with her to make him tell the truth about what he did.

An aged widower forces himself sexually onto a female scientist and later murders her. Now he is haunted by her ghost who also calls upon the ghost of his wife to make him confess his actions.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
