Tiger, Tiger, Shining Bright

A woman visits a psychiatrist because she feels anxious and sick for no clear reason. When the doctor puts her under hypnosis, she remembers being killed by a tiger over a century ago.

Charlotte Banning begs her psychologist Lewis Robey to hypnotize her because, she tells him, there’s “a demon churning around inside me.” While under hypnosis she reveals an event that took place 100 years ago: the horrible slaying of an ancestor, also named Charlotte, by a tiger. Dr. Robey tells Mrs. Banning that the key to ridding herself of this spirit is to trace and confront the experience. But, before she can act on his advice, she unwittingly visits a zoo where she has her own encounter with a tiger.
