Tomorrow Will Never Come

The people living in an old apartment building work together to save their elderly elevator man's job and help him stay with his beloved elevator called "Nellie."

Charlie Henkle, a 70-year-old elevator operator, talks and listens to Nellie, an antique, mahogany-paneled people lifter. When Henry Greene, owner of the building, tells Charlie that he and Nellie will soon be replaced by a steel and plastic push-button model, Charlie and the building’s tenants are outraged. Despite a tenants’ petition demanding that Nellie be kept running, a wrecking crew arrives, a day ahead of the scheduled demolition. But Charlie and Nellie are ready with a deadly scheme they hope will insure them their jobs.
