Frederic Lewis. Celia Grey and Janet Barclay become friends when their husbands undergo coronary bypass operations together. Comparing notes a few months later, the women agree: Both husbands have changed drastically since the operations, and for the worse. But they don’t realize how much worse until Celia’s husband tries to strangle her.

When a local surgeon performs open heart surgery on their husbands, a group of wives are disturbed by the changes in they begin to manifest. Problems crop up when they look into the mystery.

A group of wives become worried when their husbands start acting strange after getting heart surgery from a doctor in their town. Trouble starts when the women try to figure out what's really going on.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
