Trial for Murder
Two reporters covering the same murder case decide to work together and pool their information. Meanwhile, the ghost of the victim shows up to lend them a hand.
In their murder-mystery, two authors plan to have the victim's throat slit from ear-to-ear by a razor. As they begin work on the book, both are called as jurors to a case in which the accused allegedly committed his crime in the same manner. They have already had visions of the victim pursuing the murderer down a London street. As the trial progresses, the spirit of the victim will not let them alone, not only in the courtroom but every night as they go to bed.
Two writers interested in reporting a murder end up sharing resources on the same murder trial. Furthermore, the spirit of the murdered man appears to help things along.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
