Vanity Dies Hard

Planning out the perfect crime and pinning the blame on his cheating wife is a piece of cake for a slick police detective. Life gets even better when he is called on to the case to help solve it!

Michael Marchand, wealthy detective story writer, swears he will ruin both his beautiful actress wife, Katherine Kendall, and the actor she says plans to marry. Marchand murders the actor and, in what he considers to be the perfect crime, is able to point the finger of suspicion at his wife. To insure she will go to prison for life, he volunteers to help the police prove her guilt.

A smooth cop thinks it's easy to set up the perfect murder and frame his unfaithful wife for it. Things get even sweeter when he gets assigned to investigate his own crime!
