You’re Better Off Guilty

On his way to work one morning, mild-mannered Ralph Westfield discovers the murdered body of rock ’n’ roll star Jill Joris. Immediately, he’s a public figure, the press, public and police linking him romantically with the star. His paycheck increases, and women start fawning over him. At the same time, the police try to pin the murder on him, so relentlessly that he almost begins believing he committed it.

When the body of a renowned actress is discovered by a plain and unexceptional stock broker, he finds himself at the center of the investigation. He feels strangely elated to be considered the prime suspect in the case.

A famous actress turns up dead, and an ordinary stockbroker finds the body. When police make him their top suspect in the murder, the man feels oddly thrilled to be at the heart of the case.
