Dropping Atom Bomb On Bikini Island

A plane called Dave's Dream, which was a B-29, dropped an atomic bomb on Bikini atoll. The show asks if this would be the final atomic bomb ever used on Earth. In reality, there would be twenty more bomb tests at that same atoll. Another plane, a B-17, flew right through a second atomic cloud and mysteriously lost a drone that was carrying instruments. These real events happened during a test called Operation Able on the date mentioned in this broadcast. This makes us wonder if the program's date is wrong, or if the exciting story about the bomb test was made up later based on facts that were already public. The decision to move the native people away from Bikini atoll happened back in December of 1945.
