That same year, Joe Penner made people laugh with jokes and performed the song "When The Pussywillow Whispers To The Catnip." Ginger Rogers sang "Isn't This A Lovely Day To Be Caught In The Rain," while Mickey Rooney performed "When I Grow Up To Be A Man" in 1937. The Bob Hope Show featured Bob in a sketch called "Brenda and Cobina." Judy Garland made her first appearance on radio in October 1935 when she was introduced by Wallace Beery on the "Shell Chateau" program.
