# Radio Episode Plot Summary Dr. Jim Brent, the Chief of Staff at a hospital, runs into two fellow doctors in the hallway. They need to talk to him about something important, so the three of them head to the cafeteria for lunch. During the meal, one of the doctors brings up the fact that Jim hasn't been holding the regular staff meetings for months now. He explains that while the hospital is new and still waiting for some equipment to arrive, they're getting busier all the time. He says the hospital needs to grow and improve if it wants to be more than just a small county hospital. He adds that they really need new equipment for treating brain and nerve problems. When Jim asks what this has to do with him, the doctor points out that Jim is the Chief of Staff at a well-funded hospital. They need money for new equipment and to expand, and they know that Big Bill Lowrey listens to Jim. The doctor says they desperately need Jim to ask Lowrey for help. Jim responds by saying that if the hospital's leader, Dr. Wiley, hasn't been able to raise enough money, how can he? Both doctors tell him that everyone is counting on him.
