New Year's Eve Off The Scilly Islands
It's New Year's Eve 1912, and Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are on the big ship called the Gigantic, ready to ring in the new year. Suddenly, something terrible happens out on the water—it's like what occurred when the Titanic went down. Holmes says he's so smart that he can stop a fire that's about to break out in just thirty minutes, and he has to do it before the clock strikes midnight!
The Newly Discovered Casebook of Sherlock Holmes is a BBC Radio 2 comedy series written by Tony Hare. It starred Roy Hudd, Chris Emmett, Jeffrey Holland, and June Whitfield, and was broadcast between 16 January 1999, to 20 February 1999. It has since been re-broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra.
