Commander Corry and Cadet Happy discover an old castle on Mars that belonged to the dead scientist Dr. Yeager. Inside the castle, they find dangerous weapons and inventions, including a weapon called the 'Lethe-Ray'. Meanwhile, the United Planets is facing a serious power crisis. A bad guy named Mr. Proteus sneaks into one of the power plants by pretending to be the manager. He locks Buzz and Happy in a room filled with dangerous radiation and gives them a deadly dose of it. Luckily, doctors at this time can treat radiation sickness and save them. Actor Marvin Miller plays Mr. Proteus and wears a really fake-looking bald wig. Dr. Yeager's old castle has finally been found on Mars, and inside it is the deadly 'Lethe-Ray' that has been hidden there for many years.
