Alan Ladd Makes George Jealous
Gracie opens the show by making a serious request for people to save waste paper as part of the war effort. Then Gracie invites guest star Alan Ladd onto the program because she wants to make George feel jealous.
Burns and Allen were an American comedy duo consisting of George Burns and his wife Gracie Allen. They worked together as a successful comedy team that entertained vaudeville, film, radio, and television audiences for over forty years.
