The Hilary Caine Mysteries
Description
A Jim French Productions radio detective series added in 2005. The Hilary Caine character was created by British writer M J Elliott, who wrote all-new adventures for radio. Hilary Caine was a young woman with the gift of ratiocination; in the early episodes she was employed by the English tabloid Tittle-Tattle Magazine as its 'Girl Detective.' Her 1930s-1940s cases were published under the banner 'Hilary Caine, Girl Detective,' rewritten by the Tittle-Tattle staff to present her as a cross between Sherlock Holmes and Sexton Blake. Living a real and imaginary life, Hilary was occasionally confused about where fact ends and fiction begins, sometimes claiming to have met celebrated fictional detectives including Sherlock Holmes.
