# Is There Any Difference? Two boys grow up together as close friends—one is the son of a woman who does laundry for a family, and the other is the son of that family. When they both become old enough, they leave to fight in the Korean War. This episode features a wonderful performance by Lillian Randolph, an actress known for her roles on The Great Gildersleeve and Beulah, as well as many movies and TV shows. Her final film was The Onion Field in 1979. In this story, we watch Randolph play Julia and see her relationship with Mrs. Benton. Both mothers have sons who are best friends. As time goes on, the two families grow closer and must face some hard times together. The episode shows what life was like in America at that time, including ideas about men and women and how different people lived. What makes it special is that all the people in the story are shown as real and worthy of respect.
