A Drink With Dionysius
Description
Boston Sadie’s shady husband enlists the aid of two other crooks, one being a professional pickpocket, in a clever plot to steal 50 Army revolvers. The job is done well, but when the three thieves open the wooden crate at their fence’s hideout, they find it contains the Army’s latest nuclear warhead—the Dionysius—but no guns. They now face a major problem: how to dispose of such a powerful weapon of destruction.
When New Year's Eve gets close, Detective Sergeant Flummer and his regular thief buddy Sprinkles Magoon see their shaky friendship get turned upside down after Magoon says he's mixed up in a killing. A nuclear bomb that Magoon discovers while trying to steal something pulls him into a dangerous situation with the FBI and CIA.
As the New Year approaches, Detective Sergeant Flummer and his familiar pickpocket, Sprinkles Magoon, find their uneasy relationship disrupted when Magoon claims he is involved in a murder. A nuclear warhead, which Magoon stumbles upon during a planned theft, thrusts him into a deadly game involving the FBI and CIA.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
