A Little Night Murder
Description
Four women are murdered in 11 days, and the entire police force is completely mystified. A bookstore owner, Alice Maitland, tells the police that she will be the next victim. She can’t explain why she has this feeling, but she does admit to receiving a series of telephone calls with no sound from the receiver—only an ominous click.
The Christmas season brings a series of murders to a small town, and Alice Maitland and her friend, Detective Lou Parker, find themselves involved in a case that has all the earmarks of one of her murder mysteries. As they pursue a string of mysterious phone calls, they find a plot of vengeance that shocks the community.
During Christmas, someone starts killing people in a small town. Alice Maitland and her detective friend Lou Parker get pulled into a case that looks just like the murder stories Alice writes. When they follow strange phone calls, they discover a revenge plan that stuns everyone in town.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
