A Matter Of Identity

Description

When Antoinette Duchamps fails to return from a drive into the hill country of Haiti, her worried cousin, Clare Reed, flies down to investigate. Aided by a man from the U.S. embassy, Luke Calloway, and the local police, Clare learns that the car in which Antoinette was driving with a female guide was struck by a rock slide caused by a torrential downpour. Both women have disappeared in a country where believers in voodoo and human sacrifice reign supreme.

This first of a new series of adventures in Haiti, 'Claudette Colbert and John Lund are Claire Reed and Luke Calloway of the American Embassy, who probe a mystery involving a voodoo cult, the disappearance of Claire's cousin, and a murder that is ultimately cleared up by a red rose.'

In this debut episode of a fresh adventure series set in Haiti, Claudette Colbert and John Lund play Claire Reed and Luke Calloway, who work at the American Embassy and investigate a puzzling case that involves a voodoo group, Claire's missing cousin, and a killing that gets solved when they find a red rose.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
