Years ago, a woman studying art in Venice fell in love with a special painting. Now she's married and goes back to Venice with her new husband on their honeymoon to see the painting again. But when they get there, they discover someone switched the real painting with a fake one. While trying to find the real masterpiece, they run into the woman's former art teacher.

A newlywed couple travels to Venice for their honeymoon, where the wife pursues purchasing what she believes is a Raphael masterpiece. When her husband is attacked and a museum guard is discovered dead in the canal, suspicions arise about the painting's authenticity and the circumstances surrounding these incidents.

Newly married Vicky Bradford convinces her husband to take her to Venice for their honeymoon so she can buy a painting she thinks is a Raphael original. Some art experts suspect the painting is only a copy, but Vicky becomes certain she is right when her husband is mugged in an alleyway and the body of a talkative guard at the museum is found floating in a canal.
