Description
Married to a cruel and crude man, Barbara Murray wishes him dead, and he is immediately strangled by her plants and vines, upon which she had lavished years of care and affection. But when she remarries and becomes pregnant, the plants’ jealousy is soon evident.
A wife's fixation on her garden puts her marriage at risk and causes disaster. When her husband dies, she weds a police officer, but her shame and her plants' envious behavior upset her calm life. In the end, she and her new husband face her deep connection to her plants and find a new way to deal with their weird bond.
A woman's obsession with her plants threatens her marriage and leads to tragedy. After her husband's death, she marries a detective, but her guilt and her plants' jealous reactions disturb her peace. Finally, she and her new partner confront her emotional ties to her plants and establish a new understanding of their strange relationship.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
