Angel of Death

Description

A committed physician and his bride-to-be work at the same hospital and must make a painful choice when only one kidney machine can save either a gifted researcher or a young girl. Wrestling with torn feelings, they ultimately respect the researcher's request to give the machine to the child.

A dedicated doctor and his fiancée, both on the staff of a hospital, face a heart-rending dilemma when a dialysis machine is needed to save a brilliant scientist or a little girl. After a struggle over conflicting emotions, they decide to honor the scientist’s wish that the machine be used for the child.

At age 26, Deedee Maitland feels that her life is over because she has lost her son, Jimmy, in an accident. Then she encounters the ghost of Stephen Campion, who gave up his life to save Deedee’s more than 16 years before and who is determined to prevent her from wasting her life now.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
