Description

A loving wife named Judith holds onto memories of her husband Jim, who is in a coma. When she gets a strange phone call with Jim's voice on the other end, Judith starts to wonder what's real as she fights against the doctor's bad news and the scary phone call. In the end, she chooses to sell their home and move on, but the experience changes her forever.

Judith, a devoted wife, clings to memories of her husband, Jim, who lies in a coma. When an unsettling phone call brings Jim’s voice echoing through the line, Judith is forced to question reality and time as she battles the doctor's grim prognosis and the haunting phone call. Finally deciding to sell the house, she moves forward, forever changed by her experience.

James Horton is alive only because one machine breathes for him and another circulates his blood. Dr. Rollins gently urges Judy Horton to permit her husband to die, but she’s not so sure he’s dead; she gets phone calls from Jim every night.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
