Casual Affair

Richard Pomeroy, an engineer who troubleshoots for his motor manufacturing company, meets beautiful Cressida Harlow while spending an evening in a bar, away from home. Though happily married for fifteen years, Pomeroy falls madly in love with Cressida, a traveling researcher, and rearranges his schedules so he can secretly meet her in various cities throughout the country. He is deliriously happy—until he learns that Cressida is a front for a ring of smugglers who threaten blackmail unless he joins them.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
