Catch a Falling Star
Description
The 70-year-old Miss Mamie, a seamstress since age 15 and a recluse even then, doesn’t sew well, but her many customers delight in the tales she weaves about herself, them and the dresses she alters. But the sittings end abruptly and the dreams turn to nightmares when Browning’s daughter offers the never-married Miss Mamie her ultimate fantasy: to sew a wedding gown.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
