Death in the Stars

Description

Amanda Amherst—ruthless, even evil in the opinion of some, but still very beautiful—has managed her husband's chain of newspapers since his death in a strange crash of his private plane. Her daughter and brother-in-law think she was in some way responsible and are in no way upset when they hear that the astrology column in one of her papers predicts her imminent death. But Amanda is perplexed. The column appeared in only one copy of the papers—the one she receives at home.

A newspaper editor is maddened when the paper's horoscope informs her that she is going to die that very day!

A woman who runs a newspaper goes crazy after reading in her own paper's horoscope section that she will die before the day ends.

CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
