The peace of a small town, where Lieutenant Mike Bernstein and Captain Tony Nolan guard against trouble, is shattered when a series of murders exposes a sinister link among the victims--they are all former SS members. As Interpol joins the hunt, Bernstein is torn between justice and revenge.
Four men are murdered in less than two months. Police investigation reveals the four did not know one another, all were killed in the same manner with the same gun; none were robbed; all had been arrested on minor charges; and all were post–World War II immigrants from Europe. These leads produce no suspects until information from Interpol notes that all four were members of the Hitler elite corps that was in charge of the Nazi concentration camps.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
