Description
Eleanor of Aquitane, the outstanding woman of her age, leaves her husband, Louis VII of France, for the love of Henry VII, king of England. But Eleanor senses trouble in her new English paradise when Henry introduces her to his new friend, Thomas Beckett. Henry disregards her warnings and is sorry years later when four of his liegemen kill the saintly Beckett, now archbishop of Canterbury, thinking they are acting on Henry’s orders.
CBS Radio Mystery Theater is a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was repeated by the NPR satellite feed. In New York City it was not aired by the then all-news WCBS but by its originating station, WOR, which produced and announced it as simply Radio Mystery Theater.
